How did my first round draft pick end on another team's roster in Madden 10?

I won the Super Bowl with the Browns. That got me the 32nd overall pick. The Browns are in dire need of a kicker so I drafted Aaron Pettrey in the first round. I signed him to a 2 year deal. He accepted the offer. I checked the rosters and he is now on the Redskins. The other players who I signed from the draft are still on my team. Why isn't Pettrey?
