My girlfriend is to scared to have without birth control?

Hi my names Brian and I'm 16 years old and my girlfriends almost 16. We have had but have not gone all the way yet. The only problem is that we want to have now but she is scared to do it without birth control...even though I'd be wearing a condom with spermicidal lubricant. How can I convince her that having without birth control is safe? Her mom will get her birth control but we don't feel like waiting any longer (we've been dating for 5 months, I'm her first...). And we would have to wait like another 2 months to get the birth control + 1 month for it to kick in. Any suggestions? Thanks:D
